We would like to wish all of our customers a safe and happy Fourth of July celebration this coming Saturday. Our hours on Saturday July 4th will be from 9am-1:00pm.
As many of our loyal customers have already learned Emerald Island will be moving in January from it’s current location at 480 Barnes Blvd. in Rockledge to 3600 US 1 in Cocoa FL about a quarter mile north of 528.
Although we have been quite happy serving the local community from our current quarters in Rockledge for the last 10 years; we have also been paying rent for the property during that time. It’s time to upgrade to a property we own and continue to improve our lead as the #1 Landscaping and Gardening Center as rated by Space Coast Living earlier this year.
With this move will come some changes to our business.
Firstly, as we have already announced on Facebook, selected items at our current location will be discounted from now until we are fully moved to the new location. These include 50% off field grown palms (going fast; in-store pickup only), and 20% off boulders, Tiki heads, fountains, and pottery (including all Talavera).
Secondly the new location has different commercial zoning, meaning will not be able to carry bulk mulch and gravel products unless or until zoning is changed. Instead we will be selling bagged versions of these products at the new location.
This will be beneficial to customers who need only smaller quantities of ground cover, but contractors and other customers who have become accustomed to buying by the cubic yard should plan accordingly. It also means that we will not be able to drop-off large quantities of mulch and gravel for customers to install themselves. Unfortunately, we have no means to efficiently off-load palletized products at the destination.
Customers with a suitable truck or trailer will still be able pickup palletized cargo in-store where our Kubota R530 is available to assit with loading.
Thanksgiving is not yet here but Christmas came early to Emerald Island. Poinsettias have arrived and are ready to deck your halls this weekend.
